Home Loans & Mortgage
A few things worth checking before you commit to a lender: compare the effective interest rate (not just the headline rate) across at least two or three banks/NBFCs, ask specifically about processing fees and prepayment charges, and get your loan pre-approved before you start shortlisting so your budget is realistic from day one.

Rent Agreement & Registration
A leave-and-license (rent) agreement needs to be registered to be legally enforceable, with the right stamp duty and registration fee worked out for the tenure and rent amount. Get this sorted at move-in, not after a dispute has already started.

Interior Design & Fit-Out
If you’re buying a bare-shell or an older resale flat, budgeting for interiors separately from the property price avoids the most common post-purchase surprise. Get a fit-out quote before you finalize a unit if the difference between two options comes down to how much work each one needs.
